Angelica KEnworthy

 NYC Therapist

Associate Therapist

Angelica is a Licensed Master Social Worker based in New York, with training in individual and couples therapy. Her work is grounded in a relational, attachment-focused approach that explores how early experiences, emotional bonds, and relationship dynamics shape the way we show up in our lives today. Angi draws from evidence-based and insight-oriented frameworks, while keeping therapy practical, thoughtful, and grounded in real-life concerns.

Angelica specializes in working with adults and couples navigating relationship anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and recurring patterns that leave them feeling insecure, confused, or disconnected. Many of her clients find themselves overthinking their relationships, struggling with people-pleasing or codependency, or feeling caught between wanting closeness and fearing loss or rejection. This work is especially supportive for people who are highly self-aware, emotionally sensitive, and tired of repeating the same dynamics despite “knowing better.” Together, Angi and her clients make sense of these patterns with compassion and work toward building a steadier sense of safety, clarity, and self-trust, both within yourself and in your relationships.

Angi's approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. She believes therapy works best when it feels honest, human, and grounded, not overly clinical or intimidating. Sessions are a space where you don’t have to perform or have everything figured out. Instead, the focus is on helping her clients feel more secure in their relationships, more connected to themselves, and more confident in identifying and honoring their needs.

Deep, unfiltered conversations with close friends.

What keeps me grounded?

Lately, music from all over the world, even if I can’t understand the lyrics.

What I’m always listening to:

Leaving the city for a long weekend upstate. Quiet mornings, no rush, nowhere to be.

My idea of rest?

A belief that not all distress needs to be optimized or fixed, especially in a world that asks a lot of us.

What shapes how I show up in the therapy room:

“There is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.” -Leonard Cohen

A quote I return to:

I’m a night owl with ongoing plans to become a morning person.

A surprise fact?

For people who are done talking in circles and ready for real traction—relational, emotional, and internal.

Let’s make therapy actually work.
